52 Weeks of Wonder

"This week we're revisiting a trusty and true friend that some of you may have forgotten about: Fun Flock! This versatile accessory really lives up to its name—it's really a kick to play with! And when you know some fresh and fabulous applications for it, you'll be eager to get reacquainted with this playful friend.

For example, you can mix Fun Flock with prisma glitter for a blinged-out finish. (Just shake the two together in a bag and apply.) You can also use it traditionally, for a great puff of white. The best way to apply it in my view is by applying Liquid Glass first, then pressing the flock straight down into the adhesive (just press, don't rub).

But the technique I'm excited to share today involves tinting or dying Fun Flock. Check out my stamped flowers and leaves."

What a cool technique using our new spray pens. They're the perfect tool to create customized colors, coordinating all your paper crafting projects!

Photojojo's Camera Lens Mug

How cool is this? The ultimate gift for any camera geek. Check them out at the Photojojo store.

"Behold, our Camera Lens Mugs that look JUST LIKE your favorite lens.

Both "Canon" AND "Nikon" mug models are equipped with an easy to clean, heat preserving, stainless steel lining. Also, a lens-cap lid, rubber-grip focus and zoom rings, and an auto-focus switch that actually switches! To top it off, the "Nikon" mug zooms when you twist its grip.

Mugs that are so realistic, you might have to use post-its just to remind yourself which is for coffee and which is for taking photos. (Please note: Photojojo is not responsible for any liquid damage that may occur as a result of improper labeling)."

Dramatic lace wrap cardigan

I found this "dramatic lace wrap cardigan" on Katherine's blog and instantly knew I had to try my first sweater pattern. The detail is gorgeous and I love the three-quarter kimono-style sleeves. The skill level listed states "experienced", but I'm going to give it a try.

Katherine is currently hosting a Luxe Infinity Scarf giveaway. This beautiful cowl is knit with 3 hanks of Del Cerro yarn from Aslan Trends. One random winner will be chosen to win the Kit (3 hanks + the PDF pattern) AND 5 other randomly chosen winners will win the PDF pattern (to be delivered by email). Here's hoping I'm lucky!

Don't Cry for Me!

"Today, I feel like using tissues—and not because I'm on the verge of tears, but because we're going to create a "WOW" with tissue stamping! This easy technique has been around for years, but it's still one of my favorites because it's easy and fun to do and it creates a wonderful watercolor look you can't get anywhere else.

Often, tissue stamping is used in light, springy colors and on florals or whimsical designs. I wanted to show how versatile tissue stamping is and how well suited to just about any theme or color scheme."
