Scroffice - BEFORE

Just a few shots of my scroffice before starting the 2Peas in a Bucket "Organize Your Stuff Challenge" back at the beginning of January. They're not the greatest shots, but they give you the general idea of my space. Our study is used as my home office, houses the family computer and is my primary crafting area. The photo above is the view from the double door entry-way. And yes, those are Chopper's paws at the bottom of the shot.

The photo below is looking to the right from the doorway and shows my "L" shaped desk/hutch combo unit. This unit's dual purpose is split around 25% for home office use and 75% for scrap stuff storage.

The 2 photos above show my IKEA Expedite bookcase containing most of my scrapbooking supplies. One whole wall is dedicated to this fabulous piece. The adjacent wall on the right features a double atrium door to our deck.

The Organize Your Stuff Challenge is spread out over 26 weeks, with each week focusing on a different area of your scrap space and its' many contents. We're currently on week 9 of the challenge and I'm loving the difference I see already. Look for future posts catching-up with my progress so far, as well as all the weekly challenges going forward.

Basketweave Afghan

Out of the gate and running with my second post.

Two dear friends taught me to knit this past summer while our children were attending swimming lessons. Two weeks of lessons yielded stronger swimmers, much needed gab time with the gals and another hobby for me. I just opened my Weekly Stitch e-letter from Lion Brand Yarn and love the basketweave afghan above. Since I've been spending so much time re-organizing * my "scroffice" (scrap room/home office/study), this pattern is the distraction I need. I'm still a beginner with my knitting and this classic pattern is beautiful. I've got some 40% off coupons to Michael's and AC Moore so I'm dragging the kiddos out shopping tomorrow for yarn.

* I am knee-deep in the 2 Peas In A Bucket "Organize Your Stuff Challenge". Look for future blog posts unveiling the before, during and after of my scroffice.
I'm officially entering the blog world. I didn't hold out as long as I expected and decided to jump on the blog bandwagon. Only time will tell how long the ride shall last. I'm known for having a lot to say, but not sure how much of it should be consigned to posterity. Our moments shared here will be random ... as varied as the interests of my family. Blessed with 3 beautiful (and active) girls and a boxer named Chopper, my DH and I have our hands full. And we wouldn't want it any other way! "Chatter" will consist of family adventures, offspring accomplishments and antics, plus my passion for paper crafting, all things financial and the blessings of everyday life.
